44. Secrecy
(1)Any person who is on official duty under, or is employed in the administration of, this Act shall treat all documents, information, returns and forms relating to an application for a loan or the making of a loan as secret.(2)Any person who has possession of or control over any document, information, return or form relating to an application for a loan or the making of a loan, and who communicates any such information or anything contained in any such document, return or form to any person—(a)other than a person to whom he is authorized by proper authority to communicate it; or(b)otherwise than for the purposes of this Act,shall be guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding twelve months or to a fine not exceeding three thousand shillings, or to both such imprisonment and such fine.
