18. Powers of the Council

18. Powers of the Council
The Council shall have powers to—(a)receive donations, endowments, gifts, grants or other moneys and make disbursements therefrom to the Institute or other bodies or persons;(b)administer the property and funds of the Institute in a manner and for the purposes which shall promote the interests of the Institute, but shall not charge or dispose of immovable property of the Institute except in accordance with the laid down government procedures and the Statutes;(c)enter into association, collaboration or linkages with other bodies or organizations within or outside Kenya as the Institute may consider desirable or appropriate and in furtherance of the purpose for which the Institute is established;(d)determine the provisions to be made for capital and recurrent expenditure and for reserves of the Institute; and(e)open a banking account or accounts for the funds of the Institute.
