44. Vacation of office

A person shall cease to be a member of the Council if that person—

(a)is absent from three consecutive meetings of the Council without the permission of the chairperson;

(b)becomes an officer, agent or member of staff of the Institute;

(c)resigns in writing addressed to the Cabinet Secretary;

(d)is convicted of a criminal offence and sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not less than six months;

(e)is declared bankrupt;

(f)is unable to perform the functions of the office by reason of mental or physical infirmity; or

(g)dies.
