31. Transactions in community land
(1)Subject to such exemptions as may be prescribed, or unless any condition attaching to a community land right or a right of leasehold under this Act provides otherwise, a customary land right may be dealt with only with the approval of the registered community in a meeting convened for such purpose.(2)For the purposes of this Act, contracts and transfers over community land shall be carried out in a manner similar to transactions over private land as provided in the Land Act (Cap. 280) and registered as provided in the Land Registration Act (Cap. 300).
