17A. Role of the Controller
(1)Where the Board determines that there is an overlap in its functions and the functions of any other public institution in relation to food safety, the Board may request the Controller to advise.(2)Where a conflict arises between the Board and any other public institution in the execution of its functions in relation to food safety, the Board may request the Controller to advise.(3)The Controller shall conduct an audit on the mechanisms for food safety established by the Board to verify that the Board has established a system for the effective official control for food safety.
