42. Principles and objectives of e-health

42. Principles and objectives of e-health

(1)The e-Health service shall be an integral part of health service delivery to benefit people in a manner that is ethical, safe, secure, reliable, equitable and sustainable.

(2)The objectives of e-Health shall be to—

(a)promote patient-centred health care services;

(b)ensure equitable access to quality health care services using Information and Communication Technology;

(c)promote the integration of e-health into the healthcare system;

(d)facilitate the integration of e-health solutions; and

(e)promote the use of e-health solutions.
