53. Prohibition of worst forms of child labour

(1)Notwithstanding any provision of any written law, no person shall employ a child in any activity which constitutes worst form of child labour.

(2)The Cabinet Secretary shall, in consultation with the Board, make regulations declaring any work, activity or contract of service harmful to the health, safety or morals of a child and subsection (1) shall apply to such work, activity or contract of service.
