18. Authorized officers
(1)The Cabinet Secretary may, in consultation with the Council and the Director-General and with the approval of the Board, by notice in the Gazette appoint a police officer of or above the rank of an inspector, or an officer with the Kenya Navy or other armed force to be an authorised officer for purposes of this Act.(2)A person appointed under subsection (1), shall perform such functions as the Board may specify.
