6. Composition of the Board
(1)The Board shall consist of—(a)a Chairperson who shall be a member of the Society and appointed by the Cabinet Secretary;(b)the Principal Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to water resources;(c)the Principal Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to finance;(d)the Principal Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to roads construction;(f)the Chief Hydrologist;(g)two other persons appointed by the Cabinet Secretary by virtue of their experience in the field of hydrology;(h)a representative of the National Environment Management Authority; and(i)the Registrar who shall be an ex officio member of the Board.(2)All the members of the Board under paragraphs (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) of subsection (1) may attend the meetings of the Board in person or designate a representative to attend on their behalf.
