(1)An insurer shall, if so required by the Commissioner by notice in writing served on him, furnish, within such period after service of the notice, not being less than ten days, as the Commissioner specifies in the notice, information with respect to such matters relating to an account, balance sheet, certificate, abstract, return or statement deposited by him under this section as he so specifies.(2)Where a person fails to comply with the requirements of subsection (1), the Commissioner may decline to accept the document in respect of which the further information was sought, whereupon the document shall be deemed not to have been deposited in terms of this Act.
