65. Statement of penalty at foot of section to indicate penalty for contravention of section
Where in a written law a penalty is set out at the foot of a section, a contravention of the section whether by act or omission shall be an offence against that written law and shall, unless a contrary intention appears, be punishable upon conviction by a penalty not exceeding the penalty so set out.Source: Kenya Law
