44. Withdrawal from the retirement savings account

44. Withdrawal from the retirement savings account

(1)A member shall not be entitled to withdraw the balance in the member’s retirement savings account except as provided in section 45.

(2)Subject to subsection (1), a member may withdraw—

(a)his or her contribution and investment return in full on leaving employment for any reason;

(b)the Government’s contribution upon attainment of the retirement age; and

(c)the aggregate in full of any additional voluntary contributions made into the Fund under section 28 together with the accrued interest thereon after leaving employment for any reason.
