124. Corruption, economic crimes, etc

(1)A person subject to this Act who—

(a)engages in corruption, malpractices, or any act or omission while in the course of duty for selfish purposes or gains; or

(b)causes loss by their dereliction of duty,

commits an offence and shall, upon conviction, be punished, as the circumstances may require, in accordance with the provisions of the Penal Code (Cap. 63), the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (Cap. 65), the law relating to public procurement and disposal of public property, or any other written law.

(2)The offence under subsection (1) shall be triable in the civil courts.
