148. Certain charges may be dealt with summarily
(1)Subject to the prescribed limits, the commanding officer or appropriate superior authority may summarily deal with a charge for an offence prescribed as disciplinary offence which a commanding officer or appropriate superior authority may deal with summarily.(2)Despite subsection (1), a commanding officer of the rank of major or corresponding rank shall not deal summarily with a charge against an officer of the rank of captain or corresponding rank or above, and a commanding officer below the rank of major or corresponding rank shall not deal summarily with a charge against any officer.
