221. Billeting orders
At any time when this section is in operation by virtue of an order under section 182, if an officer not below the rank of major or corresponding rank commanding a unit of the Defence Forces, considers it necessary for the purpose of securing accommodation for members of the Defence Forces or their vehicles, the officer may issue a billeting order requiring the police officer in charge of police for a specified area to provide billets at specified places in that area for a specified number of members of the Defence Forces, or for a specified number of vehicles of the Defence Forces, or for both.Source: Kenya Law
