18. Eligibility of election as member of the Council

18. Eligibility of election as member of the Council
(1)A person is eligible for election as the president or vice-president if the person—(a)is a member or former member of the Council; or(b)is qualified to be a Judge of the Supreme Court.(2)A person is eligible for election as a member of the Council if the person—(a)is a member of the Society;(b)has been practise for at least two years, from the date of admission;(c)has not been found liable for professional misconduct by the Disciplinary Committee established by the Advocates Act (Cap. 16), in the three years immediately preceding the election; and(d)meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
