22. Language of proceedings
(1)The Committee shall conduct its proceedings in English or Kiswahili.(2)The Committee may allow an application lodged in any other language by persons or a group of persons directly affected by the subject matter of the application, and require such persons or group of persons to provide a translation within a reasonable time.(3)The Committee shall, taking into account all the circumstances, provide a competent interpreter to a party or witness who does not speak or understand English or Kiswahili at the hearing.(4)The rulings of the Committee shall be prepared in the English language but may be translated, on request by a party, into the Kiswahili.
