10. Surveys, inspections and monitoring
(1)The Director-General or a person authorised by him for the purpose, may board, inspect and survey any ship to which this Act applies, enter port facilities in Kenya, demand the production of documents, records and other evidence; and take testimony of witnesses under oath, for the purposes of conducting inspection and survey and for undertaking other activities authorised or required under this Act.(2)In carrying out the duties under subsection (1), the Director-General or a person authorised by him shall follow a laid down code of conduct.
