125. Certificate of discharge of seafarers
(1)The master shall sign and give to a seafarer discharged from his ship, either on his discharge or on payment of his final dues, a certificate of his discharge in a prescribed form specifying the period of his service and the time and place of discharge.(2)A certificate of discharge under subsection (1) shall not contain any statement as to the wages or the quality of work of the discharged seafarer.(3)The master shall, upon the discharge of every certificated officer whose certificate of competency had been delivered to and retained by him, return the certificate to the officer.
