3. Application of the Act

(1)This Act shall, except where implied or expressly specified, apply to—

(a)weather observers;

(b)meteorological service providers;

(c)private weather service providers;

(d)the Directorate;

(e)any meteorological training and research institution; and

(f)any person, group of persons or organization whose undertakings involve or include, generally, the use of meteorological information for commercial purposes.

(2)For purposes of this section, “commercial purposes” means the use of meteorological information acquired from the Authority for the purpose of generating income.
