2. Interpretation
In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires—“Act” means the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Act (Cap 210A);“Cabinet Secretary” means the Cabinet Secretary for the time responsible for matters related to petroleum;“Council” means the governing organ of the National Polytechnic constituted under paragraph 5;“Director” means the academic and administrative head of the National Polytechnic appointed under paragraph 9;“National Polytechnic” means the Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas National Polytechnic established under paragraph 3;“Sponsor” means the Kenya Pipeline Company Limited or its successor;“staff" means the staff of the National Polytechnic appointed under paragraph 14; and“student” means a person registered by the National Polytechnic or the purpose of obtaining a qualification of a programme of study approved by a recognised body.Source: Kenya Law
