9. Appointment of Coroner-General and coroners
(1)There shall be a Coroner-General of the Service who shall be competitively appointed by the Cabinet Secretary, on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.(2)For the proper discharge of the functions of the Coroner-General under this Act, there shall be competitively recruited by the Public Service Commission such number of coroners who shall assist the Coroner-General in the performance of the functions of the Coroner-General within their areas of jurisdiction.
