20. Examination of witnesses

20. Examination of witnesses

Where Parliament or a committee requires that any information be verified or otherwise ascertained by the oral examination of a witness, Parliament or the committee may—

(a)cause such witness to be examined on oath; and

(b)require the witness to produce any document, paper, book or record in the possession or under the control of the witness which may have a bearing on the subject of the inquiry.
