38. Establishment of the Parliamentary Police Unit
(1)There is established a Parliamentary Police Unit which shall be a specialised police unit under the supervision of the National Police Service and the command of the Inspector-General of the National Police Service.(2)The Inspector-General shall, by notice in the Gazette, appoint an officer not below the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of the Police to be in charge of the Parliamentary Police Unit.(3)Officers serving in the Parliamentary Police Unit shall be deployed from the National Police Service by the Inspector-General.
