280. Stealing by persons in the public service
If the offender is a person employed in the public service and the thing stolen is the property of the Government, or came into the possession of the offender by virtue of his employment, he is liable to imprisonment for seven years.[Act No. 53 of 1952, Sch., Act No. 24 of 1967, Sch., Act No. 5 of 2003, s. 51.]Source: Kenya Law
