14. Property in Petroleum

(1)All petroleum existing in its natural condition in strata lying within Kenya and its continental shelf is vested in the National Government in trust for the people of Kenya.

(2)All upstream petroleum resources in subsection (1) shall be managed in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, this Act and the regulations made thereunder.
