10. The Registrar

(1)There shall be Registrar who shall be appointed by the Council and whose terms and conditions of service shall be determined by the Council upon the advice of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.

(2)A person shall not be appointed under this section unless such person—

(a)holds a degree in physiotherapy from a university recognized in Kenya and is a Kenyan citizen;

(b)is registered as a physiotherapist under this Act; and

(c)has at least ten years' post qualification working experience.

(3)The Registrar shall—

(a)be the secretary to the Council;

(b)subject to the directions of the Council be responsible for the day to day management of the affairs and staff of the Council;

(c)perform such other functions as may be provided for in this Act.
