5. Offence of torture.
(1)Any person who tortures another person commits an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding twenty-five years.(2)If as a result of torture referred to under subsection (1) the victim dies, the person is liable, on conviction, to imprisonment for life.
