3. Composition of Service

(1)The Kenya Prisons Service shall consist of the members of the Service appointed under this Act.

(2)The Service shall consist of such ranks of senior and subordinate prison officers as the Cabinet Secretary may, by notice in the Gazette, specify, and prison officers shall have seniority as so specified.
