45. Release of prisoners
(1)The officer in charge shall be responsible for the due discharge of all prisoners immediately upon their becoming entitled to release.(2)No prisoner under treatment by the medical officer shall be discharged from prison except at his own request until, in the opinion of the medical officer, such discharge can be effected without danger to the health of such prisoner.(3)All prisoners shall be discharged before noon on the date on which they are entitled to be released, but should that date fall on a Sunday or a public holiday, they shall be released before noon on the day preceding that Sunday or public holiday.
