8. Qualifications for appointment as chairperson and member of Commission
(1)Subject to Article 233(3) of the Constitution, a person shall be qualified for appointment as the chairperson or vice-chairperson of the Commission if that person—(a)is a citizen of Kenya;(b)holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;(c)has at least ten years experience in their respective profession;(d)has at least six years experience in a managerial position either in the public or private sector; and(e)meets the requirements of leadership and integrity in Chapter Six of the Constitution.(2)A person shall be qualified for appointment as a member if such person—(a)is a citizen of Kenya;(b)holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;(c)has at least ten years experience in their respective profession; and(d)meets the requirements of leadership and integrity in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
