15. Object and purpose of the Future Generations Component

The object and purpose of the Future Generations Component is to build a savings base for future generations by—

(a)establishing an endowment to support Strategic Infrastructure Investment for future generations;

(b)generating an alternative stream of income to support expenditure on capital projects because of revenue downturn caused by depletion of minerals and petroleum revenues; and

(c)distributing wealth across generations.
