32. Building society mortgagee
(1)Where an advocate acting on behalf of a building society mortgagee makes use of a printed or stereotyped form of engrossment of mortgage or discharge, the fee payable to the mortgagee’s advocate in respect thereof under Schedule 1 shall be reduced by one-third but is not subject under this paragraph and any other paragraph to a reduction in excess of one-half of the scale fee.(2)For the purposes of this rule, a building society shall be deemed to include any association, corporation or company acting in the making of an advance or the lending of money on the security of, or for the purposes of purchasing or building, domestic residential property.
