53. Penalties
(1)Any person guilty of an offence under these Rules shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding five thousand shillings, or to both.(2)Where a person is convicted of an offence under these Rules, the court convicting such person may in addition to or in lieu of imposing any other punishment order that any animal, or all or any of the animals, in respect of which such offence was committed shall be forfeited.
