3. Interest on compensation, etc.
(1)The interest rate is prescribed for the purposes of section 53(1) of the Act is twelve per cent per year.(2)For the purpose of subsection 53(1) of the Act, for each amount for which a person is liable under section 51 or 52 of the Act in relation to a loss suffered or a benefit received, interest is payable from the date the loss was suffered or the date the benefit was received.
