5. Conducting banking business without approval
An institution which contracts an agency which has not been approved by the Central Bank to conduct banking business commits a violation and is liable, upon assessment, to a penalty not exceeding fifteen million shillings or three times the gross amount of the monetary gain made or loss avoided by the institution.Source: Kenya Law
