26. Funds of the university

26. Funds of the university

(1)The funds of the University shall be sourced in accordance with provisions of sections 44 (3) and 45 of the Act, and shall include—

(a)capitation grants;

(b)income generating activities undertaken by the University;

(c)loans from government and financial institutions; and

(d)such other subscriptions, donations or bequests as the Council may, subject to any other written law, regulations and guidelines, appeal for and receive from the general public for the benefit of the University.

(2)Unexpended balances of grants may be expended from one year to the next in accordance with provisions of section 46 of the Act.
