12. The Sponsor

12. The Sponsor

(1)The Sponsor shall—

(a)appoint members of the Board of Trustees;

(b)raise funds for the University;

(c)receive reports on the operation and progress of the University from the Vice-Chancellor through the Chairman of the Council and to determine whether the purpose and objectives for which the University was established are being met;

(d)promote the objects of the University;

(e)provide oversight on the management and financing of the University; and

(f)be the custodian of the assets of the University.
