83. Flight crew member training programmes.
(1)The operator shall establish and maintain a training programme, acceptable to the Authority that is designed to ensure that a person who receives training acquires and maintains the competency to perform assigned duties, including skills related to human performance.(2)Ground and flight training programmes shall be established, either through internal programmes or through a training services provider, and shall include or make reference to a syllabus for those training programmes in the company operations manual.(3)The training programme shall include training to competency for all equipment installed.(4)Flight simulators should be used to the maximum extent practicable for initial and annual recurrent training.
