47. Space and time reference

(1)The position information provided by the GNSS to the user shall be expressed in terms of the World Geodetic System — 1984 (WGS-84) geodetic reference datum.
(2)The time data provided by the GNSS to the user shall be expressed in a time scale that takes the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as reference.
(3)Smax shall be defined as the maximum desired VHF data broadcast signal power at the VHF data broadcast receiver input.
(4)The power in subregulation (3) at the receiver input shall be computed from the maximum RF field strength for the desired VHF data broadcast signal as received by an ideal isotropic antenna minus the minimum aircraft implementation loss and is used to determine the VHF data broadcast interference immunity to adjacent channel signals and to signals from sources outside the 108.000 – 117.975 MHz band.
