26. Calculation of pensions
(1)Pensions under this Act shall be calculated in accordance with the Pensions Tables and Instructions set forth in the Schedules to this Act, and the Permanent Secretary to the Treasury shall pay the pensions, or cause them to be paid by the Bombay Agents or the Karachi Agents, as the case may be, as they become due.(2)All pensions payable under this Act shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, commence upon the day after the death of the member in respect of whom they are payable, shall accrue daily and shall be payable monthly in arrear:Provided that a pension may be paid quarterly instead of monthly if the person to whom it is payable so desires.
