4. Object of the Rules
The object of these Rules is to—(a)prescribe the framework for determining minimum fees by an engineer or a firm;(b)prescribe the minimum fees chargeable by an engineer or a firm for professional engineering services;(c)prevent the undercutting of fees by and among engineers and firms who offer professional engineering services; and(d)ensure the provision of quality professional engineering services by engineers and firms and, thereby, ensure the safety and welfare of the public and enhancement of socio- economic development of Kenya.
