21. Appointment of secretary to the Board

21. Appointment of secretary to the Board
(1)There shall be a secretary to the Board who shall be appointed by the Board.(2)The secretary shall be responsible for arranging the business of the Board's meetings, keeping records of the proceedings of the Board, and shall perform such other duties as the Board may direct.(3)In the performance of the duties under this Act, the Secretary shall be responsible to the chief executive officer.(4)The Board may in the absence of the secretary appoint any member of the Board or staff of the Board to temporarily perform the functions of the secretary under subsection (2) subject to such conditions or restrictions as the Board may determine.
