18. Pilot qualification and experience requirements – parachute-drop aircraft

A holder of an Authorisation conducting a parachute-drop aircraft operation must not assign a person to act as pilot-in-command of an aircraft to perform a parachute-drop aircraft operation unless the person—

(a)holds an appropriate and current commercial pilot licence issued by the Authority;

(b)a current parachute drop rating issued by the Authority;

(c)an aircraft type rating for the aircraft used for the operation;and

(d)has acquired at least 150 hours flight time experience as pilot-in command of the category of aircraft used for the parachute-drop aircraft operation.
