39. Utilization in the band 960— 1215 Megahertz for Distance Measuring Equipment
(1)Distance Measuring Equipment operating channels bearing the suffix "X" or "Y" as contained in the Civil Aviation (Radio Navigation Aids) Regulations, 2018 shall be chosen on a general basis without restriction.(2)Distance Measuring Equipment channels bearing the suffix "W" or "Z" in the Civil Aviation (Radio Navigation Aids) Regulations, 2018 shall be chosen on the basis of regional agreement when they become applicable.(3)For regional assignment planning, the channels for Distance Measuring Equipment associated with Instrument Landing Systems shall be selected from Table 5-1 contained in the Fifth Schedule.
